You need to revisit your financial plan if any of the major life events happens:
1) Move or change job
2) Purchase a house
3) Have a baby
4) Get a lottery :)
5) Kids starting college etc
On any major life events you need to see:
1) Your spending budget
2) Your saving goals
3) Your income tax impact - recheck your w-4
4) Insurance - health, life
5) Estate, trust, wills etc.
